Your mission deserves more than guesswork.
Welcome to The Fundraising Accountant Community
In the most competitive fundraising environment we’ve ever seen, donors don’t want more noise. They want confidence. They want clarity. They want proof.
That’s why we teach a simple shift that changes everything: treat donors like investors. Not in a cold, transactional way. In a “here’s the impact your support creates” way. Clear outcomes. Credible numbers. Strong stewardship. Better decisions. More funding.
Why We Exist & Who Thrives Here
It's harder to run a nonprofit today than ever before!
As Executive Director you’re responsible for keeping the doors open, the staff paid, and the board calm, you already know: fundraising and financial management are heavier in nonprofits than anywhere else. The Fundraising Accountant Community is where you bring that weight.
Fundraising is more competitive than ever. You have to tell your story with numbers that show the tangible results of a donor investment.
The Fundraising Accountant Community exists to help you fix the root problem: your numbers and your story aren’t working together.
This is for...
Executive Directors & Development Leaders
Nonprofit Accountants, bookkeepers, and fractional CFOs
Program Leaders who want to connect outcomes to dollars
You'll be able to...
- Turn “financial reports” into decision tools
- Turn “program activity” into investor-ready outcomes
- Turn “donor stewardship” into a repeatable system
- Build credibility with boards and funders through clarity and consistency
What Awaits You Inside
A practical system, taught in plain English, supported by people who get it.
This isn’t a course you buy and never finish. It’s a community where you show up, get unstuck, and keep moving.
Inside, members learn how to:
- Rebuild reporting from a 990-focus to management-first (without breaking compliance)
- Translate outputs → outcomes → impact statements that are truthful and compelling
- Use unit economics (cost per person served / cost per outcome) as fundraising fuel
- Create board and donor reporting that makes people say, “Okay… you’ve got this.”
You’ll leave with a repeatable approach that makes fundraising less reactive and more reliable.
Community
When you join, you’re not just getting content. You’re getting traction.
Members experience:
- Live teaching + working sessions that turn theory into action
- Templates and tools you can copy, customize, and use immediately
- Peer support from people facing the same messy realities (and sharing what works)
- A weekly rhythm that builds “raging incrementalism” into your organization’s progress
This is how nonprofits stop struggling to survive and build something that thrives.
Executive Directors
If you’re the ED, you already know the quiet pressure...
The board needs confidence. The staff needs direction. And fundraising can’t be “hope + events” forever.
We help you build the investor story donors are looking for that answers:
- What problem are you solving?
- What changes because you exist?
- What does it cost to produce that change?
- What does an investor get when they fund it?
In the community, you'll learn to:
- Package programs in fundable ways (without turning your mission into a menu).
- Stop trying to raise money for salaries and start showing social and economic outcomes.
- Use numbers to strengthen major donor conversations and reduce donor anxiety.
Because donors don’t just give to need. They invest in leadership they trust.
Accountants & Finance Leaders
Accounting for nonprofits can’t stop at “clean books.”
The real value is helping leaders make decisions and tell a better story with their numbers. That’s management accounting, and it’s where most nonprofits are starving for help.
Inside FAC, you’ll learn how to:
- Reframe your reporting to show Cost of Programs clearly
- Allocate labor and overhead to show true program economics and KPI reporting
- Build dashboards and board reporting that leaders can actually use (and explain)
- Help teams connect the dots between budgets, outcomes, and fundraising strategy
If you’ve ever thought, “Our fundraisers need more from my accountants … they need a story with numbers can defend,” you’re in the right place.
The Fundraising Accountant
About the Founder
You’ll usually find me in the garden. Dirt under my nails. A stubborn dandelion in one corner. A blooming hibiscus in another. It’s a good reminder of how growth actually works: steady, seasonal, and supported by the right systems.
That’s what I built The Fundraising Accountant Community. To be the living, breathing support group of like-minded nonprofit leaders who want to use numbers to run better, grow stronger, and raise more money.
I’ve lived nonprofit leadership from the inside, first as CFO (Deputy Executive Director - Finance and Administration), then as Director of Development at Amnesty International USA. During that time, we raised over $20 million a year by diversifying our fundraising, with great success building a major donor personal solicitation program.
I missed accounting and left to start Virtual Growth (which became GrowthForce), the first web-based accounting service, long before it was fashionable.
But here’s the seed that started this community: the #1 job of the Executive Directors I worked with was raising money, but there was no affordable program to help make the successful.
Nonprofits were trying to fundraise without numbers to show their social and economic impact,, and donors were losing trust.
This community exists to close that gap.
We teach nonprofits to treat donors like investors, to connect impact to dollars, and to build the kind of clarity that earns bigger gifts, stronger renewals, and long-term sustainability.
